Rabbi Yosef Tropper
We all want to know who is telling over the dvar Torah and thoughts. We want to ensure that the person has the skills and integrity to teach Torah. I think that is a fair place to start. My name is Rabbi Yosef Tropper and I’m originally from Baltimore, Maryland. I learned in many different yeshivas and am privileged to call myself a talmid of many great people. Some of the rabbeim include Rav Raphael Moshe Gettinger shlit”a, currently of Lakewood, NJ. I learned under Rav Asher Zelig Rubenstein ztk”l for 5 years and was very close with him. I have published his shiurim on Shaar Habitachon and Chumash and Moadim. He was a talmid of Rav Mordechai Gifter, Rav Shach, the Ponevezher Rav and Rav Chatzkal Levenstein. I also learned under Rav Ephraim Greenblatt, zt”l, one of Rav Moshe Feinstein’s talmidim muvhakim. I was
zocheh to receive semicha, rabbinical ordination, from Rav Ephraim Greenblatt zt”l, and I am a rav of a small shul.
There are many additional rabbeim who have had a profound influence on me. I learned in Ner
Yisrael in Baltimore under Rav Aharon Feldman. The shiurim and yiras shamayim, and personal conversations I had with him greatly influenced me. I learned in the Mir in Yerushalayim and saw Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l and his love of Torah and people. I visited Rav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg zt”l as often as possible during my 5 years learning in Eretz Yisrael. I was deeply inspired by the tapes and seforim of Rav Shimshon Pincus zt”l, Rav Avigdor Miller and ybl”c
Rav Yisrael Reisman.
My goal here is to provide thought provoking ideas for your Shabbos and Yom Tov table. This year the focus will be on the Ramban’s commentary. We will cover fundamentals of Yiddiskeit, the beauty and depth of Torah and the unwavering commitment that we have with our mesorah through fascinating discussions and explorations in the words of the Ramban. I truly look forward to learning and growing together and always welcome your questions and comments. That is what really makes this entire program so engaging and enjoyable.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named.
